92nd Street Y has been hailed as New York’s home for the guitar, and it is particularly celebrated for its Art of the Guitar concert series, which showcases artists from around the world. The artists are also invited to participate in a pre-concert conversation, and 92Y now presents some of the best from recent years.

All conversations are hosted by Benjamin Verdery, artistic director of Art of the Guitar, chair of the Yale University Guitar Department and a renowned guitarist/composer. These free-wheeling, fascinating conversations are filled with insight, reminiscences and anecdotes, reflecting each artist’s unique personality. They are also distinguished by Verdery’s infectious enthusiasm and encyclopedic knowledge as host.
