In the early spring, parents of children who will turn 5 or 6 years old by the following fall will be invited to two meetings about applying to Kindergarten. One meeting will address the application process for ongoing independent schools, and another for New York City public schools. At that time, the Director will outline the procedure and answer general questions about the application process.

Beginning in June, parents make individual appointments with the director specifically to discuss their child. Parents are responsible for updating their list of schools in writing so that we can make sure reports are sent to the appropriate schools. Each school has their own admissions process, so it is best to read their websites carefully. Our Director is always available to speak with each parent throughout this process.
