Amit Bouri is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of the GIIN, where he leads the largest global community of impact investors dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing.

Amit co-founded the GIIN in 2009, following the launch of the Monitor Institute’s, Investing for Social and Environmental Impact, a landmark report, which he helped to conceive and develop. His work would eventually lead to the growth of a global network around the concept of impact investing and provide a blueprint that would seed the GIIN’s creation. He has authored many articles and has been frequently featured in leading publications such as the Financial Times, The Economist, Al Jazeera, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fast Company, Barron’s, and Pensions & Investments. Amit has significant experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors and previously held positions at Bain & Company, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and within the corporate philanthropy units of Gap Inc. and Johnson & Johnson. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MPA from Harvard University’s John F. Lisette Cooper, PhD, is the Vice Chair of Fiduciary Trust International and former CEO of Athena Capital Advisors. Lisette founded Athena Capital Advisors, an award-winning OCIO (outsourced Chief Investment Officer) and wealth management firm, which was sold to Fiduciary Trust International in March 2020. Lisette helped establish Athena Capital as one of the leaders in the field of impact investing. She is actively involved in investment strategy and relationship management for client portfolios. Lisette has appeared many times on national television and is widely quoted in the media. She holds the CFA designation as well as several patents. Lisette is a board member of the Boston Youth Sanctuary, the Mind and Life Institute, the Center for Heathy Minds Innovations and former chair of the board of The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She is a Mind and Life Fellow and has served as an Expert in Residence at the Harvard Innovation Lab. Lisette received her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and a PhD from Harvard University.

Tulaine Montgomery is a Managing Partner and member of the Executive Team at New Profit. Tulaine leads New Profit's Inclusive Impact, a comprehensive, sector-wide systems change strategy designed to increase investment and capacity building support for leaders of color. She has played central leadership roles in the launch and expansion of several social enterprises domestically and internationally, focusing her international efforts on East Africa and the Caribbean. Additionally, Tulaine is a member of New Profit's Systems Solutions team and serves as a lead spokesperson for New Profit at a time of growing dialogue in philanthropy about the unprecedented opportunities and challenges facing the sector. Prior to her role at New Profit. Tulaine was Founder and President of New Resource Strategies (NRS), a consulting firm that enabled mission-driven organizations to address major operational, fiscal, and strategic challenges. Among Tulaine’s clients were United Nations, Harvard University, Boston University, National Urban League, City Year National, Citizen Schools, The Boston Foundation, The Hyams Foundation, The Boston Women’s Fund, City Life/Vida Urbana, Jitegemee and others.

Tulaine has served on the founding team of Higher Ground, a comprehensive place-based community development initiative modeled after the nationally acclaimed Harlem Children’s Zone; as the Manager of the National Schools Initiative (NSI) at Youth Build USA funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and responsible for building a network of over twenty high schools that facilitate college readiness and 21st century skill building for hundreds of young adults throughout the United States; and as a founding leader of Citizen Schools, a nationally recognized educational organization serving middle school students across the country.

Tulaine received a master’s degree in Public Policy from Tufts University and earned her B.A. from Smith College in Northampton, MA. She is a Presidio Institute Fellow, Senior Fellow at the Center for Collaborative Leadership at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, a Community Enrichment Fellow at Northeastern University, and a Neighborhood Fellow at Tufts University. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Lesley University and the Episcopal Divinity School. Tulaine served as the Co-Chair of The State of Black Boston, a comprehensive research and community development initiative that analyzed the social and economic issues affecting Boston’s Black population.
