The 20th Century and the Jews
Sir Martin Gilbert, a British historian and author, discusses the history of the Jewish diasporas during the 20th century. Gilbert draws from the topics covered in his book on the subject, From the Ends of the Earth: The Jews in the Twentieth Century (2001). He speaks about the hard times and persecution faced by the Jewish community, as well as the establishment of Israel and the growth and renewal of the Jewish people. The talk is followed with audience questions.
