Join Pedrito Martinez and his large group as they deliver an electrifying, danceable set of percussion- and horn-driven Afro-Cuban jazz. The Grammy-nominated, Havana-born conga sensation celebrated his 20th anniversary as a New Yorker last November with a blowout concert at 92Y that doubled as a preview of his forthcoming album, Acertijos. A quadruple-threat percussionist, bandleader, vocalist, and Santería priest, Pedrito has become the go-to conguero for artists including Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Wynton Marsalis, and Bruce Springsteen. His band is “writing a new chapter in Cuban music history” (NPR Music).
