Jiva Dance is the critically acclaimed dance company of Jiva Performing Arts, a New York City-based organization presenting the classical music and dance of India.
Founded in 2008 under the artistic direction of Sonali Skandan, Jiva Dance creates dynamic and innovative works based on the timeless idiom of Bharatanatyam, the classical dance form of South India. The company continues to be led by Skandan, an accomplished performer and disciple of some of the greatest masters of Indian classical dance.
