Emanuel Ax was born in the town of Lviv, where the story of East West Street is set. Reflecting on the theme of global justice, East West Street explored issues of morality, art, and humanity against the backdrop of three men whose lives intertwined during the Nuremberg trials. How do two people at the extremes of good and evil find solace in the same aria? Through the power of words and the beauty of music, East West Street delivered a provocative exploration of heartache and hope.
