Robert Krulwich, television journalist for ABC’s Nightline, moderates a discussion with James Burke, science historian, author, and creator and host of PBS’s Connections (1978). Connections is a documentary series which examines the interlinking elements between science and technological advancement, and features a companion book of the same name, written by Burke. Prior to their conversation, a segment from an episode of Connections is presented. Following this, Burke and Krulwich discuss the series, including its production schedule, what inspired the theme of the show, and where the episodes are filmed. The discussion is followed by audience questions.
