Artists' Visions
Alex Katz
Art curator Robert Storr moderates a discussion with figurative artist Alex Katz about his art and artistic practice. Katz first presents slides of his work and reads excerpts from his unnamed book, explaining his journey to becoming an artist. Following this presentation, Katz and Storr discuss the personal subject matter in Katz’s pieces and the large scale of his work, as well as the technical process involved in producing his art. The discussion is followed by audience questions.
