Ceramics
Pilar Viladas, design editor for The New York Times Magazine, speaks with industrial designer Eva Zeisel and interior decorator Jonathan Adler. The guests discuss their careers and accomplishments, creative process, artistic influences, and work in ceramics. Adler and Zeisel both share slideshows of their ceramics work before engaging in a moderated discussion. Zeisel has been designing dinnerware and pottery for over seventy years. Her most prominent commissions include Museum Dinnerware (ca. 1946), made for the Museum of Modern Art, and Town and Country dinnerware (1946), made for Red Wing Potteries. Adler’s work has appeared on multiple television shows, including Will and Grace and Friends. The discussion is followed with audience questions.
