Hone your painting skills to discover the world of abstraction.
Students will first work from traditional starting points like still lives and live models and then use form, line, shadow, and perspective to express the emotions, mood and state of mind of the scene. Through hands-on class individual and group projects, demonstrations, and discussions about classical and contemporary artists, students will learn how to use drawing to express their feelings about the world around them and to develop their own artistic voice. Through easy to follow steps, beginners and advanced students alike will unpack abstract concepts to expand their understanding of art and the different forms it can take.
