Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz with Norman Pearlstine

Dec 7, 2010

Carol Bartz discusses her college years, writing code in 1967 on an IBM 1620, working for 3M where she was fired from her job before she even started when it was alleged she slept with her boss, Groupon’s valuation, employee turnover at Yahoo! and laughing off a merger between Aol and Yahoo! To the last point, Pearlstine asked: “Let me ask about Aol and Yahoo getting together, with private equity as a partner, does that make any sense?” Bartz sarcastically laughed at each suggestion, as if it was completely out of the question.
