In the final part of a three-part discussion series, Professor Richard Gilman, a drama and literary critic, discusses the literary style of New Journalism, which differs from traditional journalism through its use of the subjective, rather than objective, perspective. Gilman cites Norman Mailer, Tom Wolfe, and Truman Capote as examples of authors who write in this style, going so far as to refer to their works as non-fiction novels. The discussion concludes with audience questions.
