Reset 2020/5781: A Song for the New Year Sung by Communities Around the World

Sep 14, 2020

From NYC to the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, from Ghana and Belarus, Turkey, Israel, Guatemala and beyond, 92Y wishes you a “Shana Tovah” (a “Happy New Year”) with the re-release of “Reset,” updated for Rosh Hashanah 2020/5781.

“Reset” features music and lyrics by Abigail Pogrebin and Noah Aronson. It was shot on mobile phones by members of Jewish communities around the world with production and animation by 92Y.

Rabbi Rubinstein who commissioned the song comments, “It is important that, taking note of the challenges of the past year, this video conveys joy, uplift, and renewal in order to help us take account, reset priorities and commit to better days in the year ahead.”

Major support for the New Year song is provided by the Andrew L. Farkas Family.
