The Yoms: A Musical Tribute to Remembrance, Israel and Hope

Rabbi David Ingber, Cantor Shimon Smith, Rebecca Schoffer and Shira Averbuch

May 14, 2024

The word yom means day in Hebrew. During the month of May, we honor:

*Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)
*Yom Hazikaron (Remembrance Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror in Israel)
*Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day)

Join together with The 92nd Street Y, New York and Romemu communities for a powerful and intimate evening to honor all three “yoms.” A musical tribute to these three days that commemorate the resilience and spirit of the Jewish people. We will journey through music connected to remembrance, Israel, hope, longing, and ultimately, celebration. We will gather as a community to pray and lift our voices together, led by Rabbi David Ingber, Cantor Shimon Smith, Rebecca Schoffer, Shira Averbuch, and an ensemble of soulful musicians.

Proceeds from this evening will benefit Bring Them Home Now.
