Read Aloud: 2017 National Book Awards Teen Press Conference

Nov 14, 2017

The National Book Awards Teen Press Conference brings the excitement of the most prestigious literary award in the country to New York City’s middle and high school students.

Held during National Book Awards week, Teen Press Conference invites school groups to attend a literary event that is curated just for them. This free event centers around short readings by each of the year’s five National Book Award finalists for Young People’s Literature and gives students the chance to interact with authors during a Q&A and an optional book signing. Each participating school will receive free copies of one of the five nominated titles.

Hosted by Alvin Irby, founder of Barbershop Books and Winner of the 2017 Innovations in Reading Prize.
