Paul Krugman: On President Obama's Response to the Financial Crisis

Mar 29, 2011

President Obama speaks at the Democratic National Convention Thursday, looking both backward to the financial crisis at the beginning of his presidency and forward to explain his vision for a second term. In this clip, New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman talks to journalist Jeff Greenfield about whether the president should have responded to the crisis differently.  Krugman examines the people Obama selected to be part of his economic team and the amount of money they settled on for the economic stimulus package.

Watch Krugman’s answer here.  Do you agree with how President Obama handled the economic crisis?
