New York Review Books – A 20th Anniversary Celebration

Jan 27, 2020

All-star writers Marlon James (Black LeopardRed Wolf), Leslie Jamison (The Empathy Exams) and Colm Tóibín (Brooklyn) join New York Review Books founder and editorial director Edwin Frank to perform selections from their favorite NYRB Classics in celebration of the press’ two decades of visionary publishing. Frank reads from the NYRB’s The Red Thread, an anthology of work from the press’ last 20 years, Tóibín from Josep Pla’s The Gray Notebook, Jamison from Renata Adler’s Speedboat and Elizabeth Hardwick’s Sleepless Nights, and James reads from Camara Lye’s The Radiance of the King and Felix Feneon’s Novels in Three Lines.
