Ian McEwan: The Children Act
Ian McEwan returned to the Poetry Center to open our 76th season. He is interviewed by Isaac Chotiner. His new novel, The Children Act, examines the intersection of faith, family and law through the story of a judge overseeing a difficult case involving parents who refuse treatment for their sick child. “McEwan’s literary gifts are lavish, as great as those of any writer alive today,” wrote Claire Messud.
