Virtual Clay
Artist/Public Artist with Nancy Blum
An OnDemand Online Lecture
Having received her MFA in ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Nancy Blum transitioned her art practice from sculptural works in clay to one focused on public art and drawing.
Her drawings, public art and sculpture explore pattern and architecture of nature. This talk will focus on the making of public art and how she has handled a range of public art opportunities. Specifically Blum will talk about the process of finding and applying for commissions, presenting proposals, choosing and working with fabricators and installing the artworks permanently.
