Arianna Huffington with Norman Pearlstine: Third World America

Sep 7, 2010

Arianna Huffington sits down with Bloomberg Businessweek’s Norman Pearlstine to discuss her new book, Third World America, which examines the “betrayal of the American dream.” She also expressed displeasure with many facets of the Obama administration. NBC Niteside was on hand and reported:

“...the media maven called on the commander in chief to dump a top White House adviser, railed against what she called the botched financial bailout and took aim at the president’s economic policy.

‘He has made major errors,’ Huffington told a packed crowd at the Manhattan venue, ‘but the other option would have been far worse. Does anyone think I would have preferred McCain?’”

In this clip, Arianna talks about the appointment of Lawrence Summers, the anger and dissatisfaction of the American public, the rise of Glenn Beck as a result, and more.
