In this talk, Sabin will present ongoing trans-disciplinary research and design with a specific focus on her work with clay and digital ceramics.
Sabin’s collaborative research, teaching and design practice focus on the contextual, material, cultural, and formal intersections between architecture, science and technology. This includes the integration of complex phenomena towards the design, production, and digital fabrication of ceramic form in the design arts and architecture. Projects interrogate the physical interface between digital complexity and fabricated material assemblies in order to address novel applications of non-standard ceramic components towards the production of 3D textured prototypes and systems.
