Leslee J. Shaw, PhD is a leading outcomes researcher whose major focus is clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, including a special focus on sex differences. She is an endowed chair and tenured professor with appointments in Obstetric, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Population Health, and Cardiology. She is the Director of the Blavatnik Family Institute for Women’s Health Research and vice chair for research for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science. In her roles, she leads women’s health researchers across the Mount Sinai Health System including multidisciplinary teams to tackle compelling research issues in women’s health.
Dr. Shaw has published more than 1,000 publications and presented more than 500 abstracts in major scientific meetings in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. Based on her scientific contributions, Dr. Shaw was recognized with several awards from the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Preventive Cardiology, and the Women’s Day Magazine Red Dress Award.
Angela Bianco, MD, currently serves as the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for the Mount Sinai Health System …
Angela Bianco, MD, currently serves as the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for the Mount Sinai Health System and is the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program Director. She has recently been appointed Assistant Editor of Expert Reviews and Clinical Opinions for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AJOG). In addition to these roles, she has served as both the Director of Obstetrics as well as Labor and Delivery for The Mount Sinai Hospital. She led the Obstetrics response team during the COVID-19 pandemic, at which time New York City was the epicenter.
Dr. Bianco is recognized as a leader in women’s health as well as fetal imaging. Her research primarily focuses on the management of labor induction and medical/surgical complications of pregnancy including peripartum hemorrhage. Dr. Bianco serves as a reviewer for several journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been the recipient of several teaching awards.

Katera has been an integral leader in 92NY’s athletics, health and wellness department for 10+ years. She works closely with organizations such as ACSM and American Council of Exercise as a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist, Health Coach and Group Exercise and Subject Matter Specialist. Katera is the founder of 92NY’s Spark Your Health, developed in 2022, a health & wellness initiative which provides cutting edge health-related talks and programs to thousands of people all over the country and world. Katera also moderates talks with experts for select Spark Your Health talks. Katera provided expertise for the design, equipment and creation of hundreds of new programs for the Penthouse Gymnastics Studio in the Sky in 2013. Her mission is to connect children and adults to physical movement in a positive and joyful manner so it becomes a lifelong habit. Katera enjoys bringing positive psychology into her work at 92NY and writes children’s books and novels in her spare time.
