In this single-session workshop, you will examine fabulous and surprising openings to poems — lines that hook, invite, allure.
After a lively and open discussion of poetic strategies, you will have the opportunity to revisit a draft and to reimagine possibilities for a new entry point, a new door, a new trap for the unsuspecting reader. You can bring a draft you’d like to revisit, or bring a blank page and devise new openings for a future work.
Class takes place online on April 22 from 7-9 pm ET.
