Join artist Allison Maletz in this special in-person workshop designed for beginners and intermediate watercolor artists alike.
Working from a live model, you’ll explore essential techniques to capture the human face, from mixing accurate skin tones to creating depth and three-dimensionality in facial features, hair, and expressions. You’ll experiment with methods like wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry-on-dry, and gradations, each adding new layers of detail and nuance. Along the way, we’ll discuss approaches to capturing a likeness, helping you refine your skills and bring your portraits to life.
