Over the last 20 years the world has seen the appearance of an exciting new craft medium called polymer clay.
It is sold under several different brand names, including Fimo, Sculpey, Cernit and Kato. This wonderful material comes in a rainbow of colors and once designed, it can be permanently hardened by being baked in a home or convection oven. These colorful clays can be mixed with each other to produce further colors, and a multitude of different techniques can be applied to them. Once hardened in the oven, they can be cut, sawed, filed, sanded, glued, painted, added to and re-baked. Learn the various techniques to create a millefiori cane. From this cane you can make earrings, necklaces or whatever design esthetic.
