Ruth Spencer

Ruth Albert Spencer is a graduate of the Mannes College of Music. Her major teachers include Frank Sheridan, Carl Schacter and Leopold Mannes. She did her graduate work at Queens College (CUNY). Prof. Spencer is on the Music Dept. faculties of the City Univ. of New York and the 92nd Street Y. She is a recipient of a NY Council on the Humanities Grant, enabling her to give lectures on the relationship of Chopin and George Sand and to perform his music.
