Join illustrator, author, and Art Center faculty Erin McGill to learn about the dynamic process of creating a picture book.
Erin McGill is the author and illustrator of over five children’s books as well as an inspiring teaching artist for children and adults. Her work draws viewers in with texture, pattern, and collage and she encourages students of all ages to get their hands dirty with the creative process.
Erin will discuss the relationship between words and illustrations, how to develop characters both visually and textually, and how she transforms her sketches into a polished final piece. If you’re curious about illustration, publishing, or the relationship between images and ideas, this is the talk for you.
