DRUNK STONED BRILLIANT DEAD: The National Lampoon in New York City 1970-1988
Writers and artists from the National Lampoon discussed working for the magazine in New York City during this period as well as read and show work that dealt with and was influenced by the city—down to finding nude models on 42nd Street.
The ground breaking humor magazine National Lampoon was published from it's New York City headquarters from 1970-1988 which encompasses both some of the city's most beloved and troubled eras.
The story of the National Lampoon is being told in Douglas Tirola's much anticipated documentary Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead which was a hit at this year's Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals.
Watch Tirola discuss the influence National Lampoon had on comedy and film.
