Susan O’Malley is a dancer, choreographer and educator. As a dancer she has studied ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, improvisation, and East and West African dance. She received her BA degree from Wheaton College (MA), with a major in English, and a minor in Theater and Dance Studies. She then moved to New York to pursue dance and dance education. She received her Master of Arts degree from New York University in 2011, becoming a New York State certified Teacher of Dance. She has taught in various settings including preschool programs, public schools, private studios, community centers, summer camps, and after-school and outreach programs. Currently she teaches Creative Ballet and Ballet Basics at the Harkness Dance Center at 92Y.
