Leah Dowdy is a vivacious actress, singer and classically trained dancer. Born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania, her passion for performance began at a young age when she first started taking dance lessons at The Rock School West where she studied the art of ballet, jazz and hip-hop for a total of twelve years. Leah went on to further study her craft at the University of Pittsburgh where she served as an executive board member and student choreographer for the Pitt Dance Ensemble, attended and competed in multiple ACDFA (American College Dance Festival Association) competitions and first began teaching dance with the Healthy Program in Pittsburgh public schools. A proud panther, Leah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Film Studies, a BA in Communication & Rhetoric and a minor in Dance in the spring of 2011. Leah has also studied at Broadway Dance Center as well as the Imperial College of London. Since relocating to New York City, Leah has danced for various commercials, including Canon Cameras and Gillette, and landed roles in such films and television shows as Audition (2014), "Person of Interest" (CBS) and "How to Get Away With Murder" (ABC). Teaching is truly one of Leah’s greatest passions, and she enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities.
