Harvey Granat is a popular cabaret performer, Broadway producer and a historian/educator of the American popular song. He performs at various supper clubs, resorts and cultural venues, including engagements at Feinstein’s at the Regency, Birdland, Canyon Ranch and Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts. His shows focus on a composer and/or lyricist, combining his singing of their songs with stories from their lives, many of which come from his personal collection of letters and manuscripts from legendary composers and lyricists. Granat co-produced 4 time Academy Award winner, Sammy Cahn, on Broadway in Words and Music. The show had a successful run in New York and toured all over the United States and abroad. His friendship with Cahn led to his serving on the Board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame with Cahn and many other well-known composers and lyricists. He has taught at universities, including Florida Atlantic University where he presents a very popular winter series, co-produced a Broadway show which toured domestically and abroad, and has a CD, Look to Your Heart.
