Born in Moscow, violinist Anna Rabinova joined the Philharmonic in 1994, and first performed as a soloist with the Orchestra in October 2009 in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 led by Lorin Maazel. She has toured Europe with the Moscow State Symphony, and performed with the Halle Philharmonic, Schwerin Philharmonic, Moscow radio, Russian State, Berlin and American symphony orchestras; and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. She has appeared at the Schleswig Holstein, Caramoor festivals, and has given recitals in Berlin, Moscow, Leipzig, Belgrade and Washington, D.C., as well as at New York City venues including Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and Alice Tully Hall. She has released recordings on the Auris-Subtilis and Naxos labels. Ms. Rabinova studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Her honors have included first prize at the16th International Violin Competition in Belgrade, Bach International Competition in Leipzig and 1993 Concerto Competition in the Juilliard School. She gives master classes in U.S. and abroad.
