  • Skewers of charred, smoky beef and lamb, fragrant with smoked paprika and fresh mint … a summer bread pudding with fresh raspberries … the dumplings and noodles of Chinatown. Hungry yet? We are! And we’ve got cooking classes and food talks with some of the world’s most renowned chefs and culinary experts to satisfy your appetite for all things food all summer long.

On the menu at Roundtable, our new destination for online discourse: Superstar chef Michael Solomonov of Philadelphia’s famed Zahav teaches an online cooking class from the spectacular rooftop of his charcoal-hot Brooklyn restaurant Laser Wolf. Joined by Top Chef Canada’s Eden Grinshpan, he shares the secrets to some of the best grilling in the world – Israeli grilling – teaching you how to make two of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and inviting and answering your questions in real time (Aug 10).

Jancis Robinson, the global wine authority who chooses the wines for Her Majesty the Queen’s own cellar, leads a virtual class on American wines and guides you in how to choose yours (Jun 23). Food educator Annette Tomei leads a virtual culinary tour through one of NYC’s most richly diverse neighborhoods and shares insights into the extraordinary culinary history of the Lower East Side, Little Italy and Chinatown in her 4-session class beginning Jul 19.

In our Recanati-Kaplan Talks series, hear about what it’s like to be a judge on one of the world’s most popular cooking shows, when The Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood joins us to talk about his experience and his new book BAKE (Jul 20, in person only). And get an inside look at what it’s like working in the test kitchens of some of the world’s most prominent culinary publications (and at the legendary Chez Panisse) when former Bon Appétit senior food editor Andy Baraghani joins us with SNL alum Bowen Yang to talk about his journey and new book, The Cook You Want To Be (Aug 4, in person and online).

And because we’re always thinking about the next delicious thing: Mark your calendar for Sep 29, when culinary legend Jacques Pepin joins us live in conversation with Carla Hall!
