16 emerging choreographers will be selected to share work in one of two split-bill programs at the 92NY’s Buttenwieser Hall on either Friday April 11, 2025 at 7 PM ET or Saturday April 12, 2025 at 2 PM ET. Choreographers of all dance genres, styles, and backgrounds are warmly encouraged to submit their work.
All selected artists receive a performance honorarium of $500.00.

Festival Requirements:
- Submitted works must be no longer than 8 minutes in length. Works that exceed 8 minutes will not be considered.
- Applicants are only allowed ONE submission. If a second application is submitted, only the first application received will be reviewed.
- Applicants may have only had one professional commission as a choreographer (defined for the festival as a university, conservatory, or professional dance company commission).
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Selected artists and performers must be available for all Tech and Performance Days. Note: Tech times and assigned performance program will be shared with selected artists upon confirmation of participation:
- Technical Rehearsals: Thursday and Friday, April 10 & 11
- Performances: Friday, April 11, 2025 at 7 PM ET and Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2 PM ET
- Due to limited tech time and storage capacity, pieces may not include any large props or set that cannot be easily carried on or off stage by performers. In the case of live music, no amps or mic connection will be available. Please note: No prop storage will be available.
- Choreographers selected for the in-person festival are responsible for their and their performer’s transportation and housing in New York City.
- Video must capture the exact work you plan to present if accepted.
