Join the 92NY Athletics team for a fun, challenging, social, and skill-building Saturday afternoon program meant to keep your teen actively engaged in basketball and learning strength training in a safe setting!
The program begins with a basketball focus including 60-minutes of a dynamic warm-up, basketball drills that change weekly, circuit training to help improve power, agility, accuracy, balance, and endurance challenges and games. This section is followed by a 30-minute scrimmage to practice and play further, while elaborating on teamwork skills and putting newly developed skills to work.
All athletes will have a 10–15-minute water and socialization break in between basketball and strength training.
The youth strength training section of this class will highlight group orientated programming with an emphasis on movement education, exercise technique, and gross motor development. The course objectives are to improve overall strength, joint stability, and education of different training methods.
All skill levels welcome, no experience is required.
This is a drop-in program, however; we recommend attending as many Saturday sessions as possible for the best experience and results. Each Saturday will have a different focus of the day with new and exciting drills.
