Students will practice freestyle skills and choreography through game-based exercises and exchanges. The class is designed to connect movement with music and history, to provide tools for creativity and individuality, and to serve as an introduction to street & club dance styles!

Rowy Xonik Ramirez is a professional dancer who is deeply driven by creating and nurturing a sense of community. He is constantly working on his progress while inspiring and igniting the progress of his peers, fellow artists, and his students.
Xonik has received training from Top Notch Teachers (Violeta Galagarza, Eric Negron, Valentine Norton, Buddha Stretch and Jamie Jackson to name a few). He recently performed with Hip Hop Legend Lil’ Mo (2024), and is one of the most sought after dancers in the NYC scene. He has made cameos in the film Step Up 3D, helped win co ...

He recently performed with Hip Hop Legend Lil’ Mo (2024), and is one of the most sought after dancers in the NYC scene. He has made cameos in the film Step Up 3D, helped win competitions such as “MQB,” ”Step it up,” and “Kcon 2016.” He has also performed with Wutang, 88keys, and Rico Love.
Xonik believes that everyone has their own unique story to tell in dance, and he encourages his students to work hard, see their own greatness, and be themselves!
Muriel “Murri-Lynette” Peterson began performing at age 4 with the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company in Syracuse, New York. In 2010, she performed with Dancing In The Streets: Hip-Hop Generation Next ’10 at Lincoln Center. She has also had the honor to perform with tap legends Marshall Davis Jr. and Ted Louis Levy. Most recently, Ms. Peterson was cast in Bill T. Jones’ Deep Blue Sea. She was also a member of the Ladies of Hip-Hop Dance Collective training company.
