Jazz Funk is back!
Have fun and rock out to the strong, sexy and energetic style of Sal Pernice, a Broadway dancer who taught Jazz at the 92NY to adults and children for more than 20 years. We’ll start with a complete 45-minute full-body warm-up and then work on basic Jazz-funk technique and choreography. Steps are broken down throughout the class so you can groove to the best music of the 1970s, ’80s and beyond.

Pune Dracker apprenticed with Sal Pernice for more than 15 years, assisting the master teacher with adult and children’s classes. Under Sal’s tutelage, she learned to teach in a way that empowers beginners and helps every dancer feel confident and joyous as they learn broadway and music-video style choreography. In addition, Pune is a student of Street Dance and West African dance styles, recognizing their influence on modern Jazz techniques. She also teaches hatha yoga at Integral Yoga Institute.
