The Modern Sketchbook

All activities can be completed with the materials you have on hand. This class aims to provide a breadth of exercises artists can use in their sketchbooks for idea exploration.

Demonstrations will be given with crayons, markers, pencils, watercolor and china markers. Materials substitutions will be given for all activities and suggestions will be provided.

Supply list:

• a sketchbook in a size of your choice
• selection of drawing materials of your choice (ie, pencils, markers, watercolor, etc)
• collage materials: magazine scraps, scissors, and glue stick
