Multiple Approaches to Enameling

Supply List
Unleaded enamels are supplied in class.
- 2-3 fine sable brushes (e.g. one each: # 0, #00; #000)
- 1 Flat ½” – 1” brush
- An old toothbrush
- A sharp tool for sgraffito. (e.g. a fine-pointed scriber - available at the hardware store - is best, but a needle will do.)
- Small Scissors
- Fine-pointed tweezers
- 6” x 6” mica sheet (available at Metalliferous or Allcraft)
- Containers for enamels. (Suggestions: tiny plastic toy cups; round, stacking fishing tackle containers; mini-tupperware cups; any other small plastic or foil containers in which enamels can be mixed)
- Pencil and paper and design ideas
- 18 gauge copper (6” x 6”)
- 18 gauge copper discs or squares (2”– 4”)
USEFUL, but OPTIONAL:
- Jeweler’s saw frame and blades.
- Silver (FINE only)
