Machine Sewing III

A garment sewing class for students with a solid foundation in sewing, but who would like to take their skills up a notch. Students will provide a garment sewing pattern of their choice: outerwear, pants, dress, tops- whatever you would like to make. The garment will be completed over a 6 week period with the expert guidance of the sewing instructor.

Supply List:

On the first day of class, we will focus on choosing your size and cutting the pattern and fabric pieces. Please bring the following supplies with you:

  • Garment sewing pattern*. You can bring multiple if you would like to discuss options. Sewing patterns are available in 2 forms: Paper pattern and pdf. If you purchase a pdf pattern, you will need to have it printed. https://pdfplotting.com and https://brooklynmotifprinting.com are both excellent printing services.

*This is not an exhaustive list, but all of these companies have reliable patterns and good instructions. If you would like to use a pattern from another company, that’s completely fine. Make sure the pattern comes with instructions.
