Tools and how to purchase firing cards will be discussed on the first class. The tools pictures below (1) are for sale in your class for $30. Purchases can be made in class using a 92NY Ceramics firing card.

About the Studios

The ceramics studios at 92NY are some of the best-equipped in NYC. A gas-reduction kiln, three electric kilns and 25 electric potter’s wheels offer potters, artists and hobbyists unlimited opportunities to create unique works of art. Stoneware is used during the fall and spring terms and porcelain is used during the summer (glaze-fired to cone 10). Clay is included in the cost of tuition unless you use bagged clay, which may be purchased for $20 per 25-pound bag. Firing charge is five cents per cubic inch for two firings of all work made in classes and workshops. Students must supply their own tools, which may be purchased from 92nd Street Y for $30
