A celebration of the work and life of Ntozake Shange, who died in October 2018. Featuring Ifa Bayeza, award-winning playwright and the artist’s sister; musician Toshi Reagon, who performed an musical interpretation of Shange’s novel Liliane; poet and activist Mahogany L. Browne; and writer and performer Okwui Okpokwasili, who recently joined the Public Theatre as the lady in green in the revival of for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf.
