Tony Kushner discusses the Broadway play Angels in America, and its legacy with Isaac Butler and Dan Kois, authors of The World Only Spins Forward, an oral history of Angels as told by the artists who created it (including Kushner himself) and the audiences forever changed by it. The World Only Spins Forward is an exuberant backstage tale, a moving account of the AIDS era, essential queer history and an uplifting testament to one of the great works of American art of the past century.
