Academy Award® winner Jennifer Connelly continues to prove her versatility as an actress with each new project she undertakes.

Connelly will next be seen on the big screen starring in Paramount and Skydance’s blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick. The movie is a sequel to the 1986 original and will star Tom Cruise, Jon Hamm Val Kilmer, and Miles Teller alongside Connelly with Joe Kosinski at the helm. On the small screen, Connelly will next star in TNT's Snowpiercer which is a futuristic thriller based on the critically acclaimed movie by Korean director Bong Joon-ho and graphic novel series of the same name. The series will focus on the last survivors on the planet and follow them as they inhabit “The Snowpiercer,” a train that travels around the globe, which is divided into feuding classes. The series is set to premiere on TNT on May 17, 2020.

Most recently, Connelly was seen in Robert Rodriguez-directed, James Cameron-produced sci-fi epic Alita: Battle Angel, with Christoph Waltz, Mahershala Ali, and Rosa Salazar. She was additionally recently seen in firefighter drama Only The Brave which was also directed by her Top Gun: Maverick director, Joe Kosinski for Sony Pictures with Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, and Jeff Bridges. The film tells the story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a crew of elite firefighters combating wildfires in Arizona.

Other recent projects include Ewan McGregor’s American Pastoral, with Ewan McGregor and Dakota Fanning, based on the book by Phillip Roth. In 2014, she starred opposite Anthony Mackie in Shelter, written and directed by Paul Bettany. 2014 also re-teamed her with Darren Aronofsky and Russell Crowe for the biblical epic Noah.

Connelly's first film was Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America in 1984, though her big break was her role as ‘Sarah’ in Labyrinth opposite David Bowie in 1986. She earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her widely praised, haunting portrayal of a drug addict in Darren Aronofsky’s critically acclaimed Requiem For A Dream in 2000. She received a Golden Globe®-, BAFTA, AFI, Broadcast Critics, and ACADEMY AWARD® for her starring role in Ron Howard’s A Beautiful Mind opposite Russell Crowe.

Tony and Grammy Award winning actor, rapper and producer Daveed Diggs is widely known for originating the dual roles of Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette in the Broadway sensation, Hamilton.

Diggs can next be seen starring in TNT’s futuristic thriller series, Snowpiercer, opposite Jennifer Connelly. The series is based on the critically acclaimed movie by Parasite director Bong Joon-ho and the graphic novel series of the same name. Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. This summer, Diggs will star opposite Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Stanley Tucci in Apple TV+’s new animated musical sitcom, Central Park. The show tells the story of a family of caretakers who live and work in Central Park. The caretakers end up saving the park and essentially the world. Diggs will also lend his voice to Disney Pixar’s Soul, where he stars opposite Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx. The film follows a musician who has lost his passion for music and is transported out of his body. He is forced to find his way back with the help of an infant soul, who helps him rediscover himself.

Diggs recently wrapped production on the independent feature The Starling opposite Melissa McCarthy and Showtime’s The Good Lord Bird opposite Ethan Hawke. He will take his award-winning roles of Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette to the big screen in Hamilton, which hits theaters October 15th, 2021.

In 2019, Diggs starred opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the Netflix thriller Velvet Buzzsaw and lent his voice to Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham, Amazon’s Undone and Disney XD’s Star Wars Resistance.

In 2018, Diggs co-wrote, produced and starred in the critically acclaimed Lionsgate feature, Blindspotting, which Peter DeBruge at Variety called, “the most exciting cinematic take on contemporary race relations since Do the Right Thing nearly 30 years ago.” In addition to receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for his performance, Eric Kohn of IndieWire deemed Diggs as “an instant movie star.” Following the film’s success, Diggs is co-writing and executive producing the television spinoff starring Jasmine Cephas Jones, currently in development at Starz.

In 2017, Diggs co-starred in the hit Lionsgate feature Wonder, opposite Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay, in a performance heralded as “irresistibly charming” and “deeply sympathetic.” He also voiced the character “Dos” in Fox’s animated feature, Ferdinand opposite Kate McKinnon.

Diggs is a member of the West Coast-based experimental hip-hop trio, “clipping.” He has toured nationally and internationally, both as a solo artist and with “clipping,” playing venues such as the Sonar Festival in Barcelona; Off Festival in Krakow; ATP Iceland in Keflavic; and Brooklyn's AfroPunk Fest. One of the hip-hop trio’s songs, "The Deep", was turned, into a book from Simon & Schuster and was named one of NPR’s best books of 2019. The group was also nominated for a Hugo Award for their sophomore album, Splendor & Misery, and Simon and Schuster recently released a novel based on their acclaimed single “The Deep.”
