The Unconvention: Comparing Democrats and Republicans

Sep 9, 2012

In this clip from 92Y's The Unconvention, the panel talks about the competing philosophies between the Democrat and Republican parties. TIME columnist Joe Klein points to what he sees as a problem for the Republican Party in adapting to the country's changing demographics and social norms. CNN Contributor Margaret Hoover acknowledges the need for the Republican Party to modernize if they are going to create new Republicans. When the discussion turns to the auto bailout, Reason Foundation's Anthony Randazzo says Governor Romney should articulate the benefit of letting companies fail in the short term in order to come back stronger in the long term.
