The NFL Concussion Settlement

Feb 2, 2016

Football may be America’s national pastime, but the sport also causes concussions and brain injuries.

A federal judge recently approved the NFL Concussion Settlement in a class action filed by more than 4,000 former players. However, 90 players have appealed and about 200 have opted out of the settlement. Watch this discussion tackling topics including the neurological consequences of football, the responsibility of the NFL to its players and its prior knowledge of brain injuries and the ramifications of the settlement itself.

Joining Thane Rosenbaum on stage is New York Giants Hall of Fame legendary player, Harry Carson, ESPN reporter and League of Denial bestselling author Mark Fainaru-Wada, class settlement co-counsel Christopher A. Seeger and from NYU Law School, Arthur Miller.
