Dr. Annie Polland talks about the book Emerging Metropolis she co-wrote with Fordham University history professor Daniel Soyer. Their book is volume two of a three-volume set on the history of Jews in New York City edited by Deborah Dash Moore. Polland divulges into the context of the book, New York from 1840 to1920, under the age of immigration and looks at how New York becomes more of a Jewish city in this time.
