Jim Parsons continues to skillfully navigate the entertainment industry as an award-winning actor and producer.

Parsons can currently be seen portraying Henry Willson in the Netflix series Hollywood alongside David Corenswet, Darren Criss, and Laura Harrier. The series, which was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan and debuted in May 2020, is about the golden age of Hollywood. His performance garnered Parsons his ninth Emmy nomination.

Parsons also recently wrapped production on the Netflix movie The Boys In The Band alongside Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, and Matt Bomer due out in September 2020. Directed by two-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello and produced by Ryan Murphy and David Stone, the film is adapted from the 2018 Broadway revival, which played at the Booth Theatre and won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. The Broadway cast will return to star in the film adaptation.

Through his production company, That’s Wonderful Productions, Parsons executive produced Netflix’s first short-form series, Special. The show is based on Ryan O’Connell’s memoir I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves and was nominated for four 2019 Emmy Awards including “Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” and won a Writers Guild Award for “Original Short Form New Media.” The show is currently in production on their second season. It was recently announced that That’s Wonderful Productions will produce a four-part docuseries, Equal, which will chronicle landmark events and the forgotten heroes of the LGBTQ+ Movement.

Parsons and That’s Wonderful Productions has partnered with Mayim Bialik for the upcoming Call Me Cat based on UK’s Miranda. Fox recently announced its official pickup of the multi-camera comedy series. Parsons will Executive Produce along with Bialik, who will also star in the series. It was recently announced that HBO Max has put in development Beth & Sam, a half hour single-camera comedy from Emily Wilson and Betsy Thomas that Parsons will executive produce along with Todd Spiewak for That’s Wonderful Productions and Jamie Tarses’ FanFare Productions.

Parsons co-starred in and produced, along with That’s Wonderful Productions, A Kid Like Jake, a family drama, in which a couple navigates the competitive world of NYC kindergarten admissions while trying to understand what is best for their son. The film, which stars Jim opposite Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer, made its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. That’s Wonderful Productions has also optioned the film rights to Michael Ausiello’s acclaimed memoir Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies, with Parsons attached to star.

Also in film, Parsons was recently seen in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile opposite Zac Efron, John Malkovich, Lily Collins, and Jeffrey Donovan. The film chronicles the life of the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy, focusing on how a routine traffic stop eventually led to the revelation of Bundy’s horrific crimes. Prior to that, he starred in the Fox feature film drama, Hidden Figures as “Paul Stafford” alongside Kevin Costner and Taraji P. Henson. The film, which earned an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, follows a team of African-American women who provide NASA with important mathematical data needed to launch the program's first successful space missions. The film won the National Board of Review award for Best Ensemble as well as the NAACP award for Outstanding Motion Picture.

Parsons’ breakout role was that of Sheldon Cooper from the CBS smash hit The Big Bang Theory. The show was the #1 comedy in America and in many parts of the world. The Big Bang Theory also made history as the longest running multi-camera sitcom ever with 279 shows. Parsons received multiple awards for his performance, including four Emmy Awards for ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series’, the Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy’ and the Critics’ Choice Television Award for ‘Best Actor in a Comedy Series’.

He then turned that character into a successful spin-off and serves as Executive Producer and Narrator on Young Sheldon, a prequel to The Big Bang Theory. With Parsons voicing adult Sheldon, the story is told through the eyes of Sheldon Cooper at the age of 9 and follows him as he enters high school in east Texas. The show is currently airing its third season and it was announced that the show was picked up for a fourth season.

Prior to appearing in the Broadway production of The Boys In The Band, Parsons last starred on Broadway in An Act of God which recouped its $2.9 million capitalization in just 10 weeks. The comedy, where God and His devoted angels answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since Creation, featured Parsons almost always alone on stage, captivating audiences for 90 straight minutes. Based on the critically acclaimed book The Last Testament: A Memoir by God, the play was written by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum and directed by Joe Mantello.

Also on the stage, Parsons starred in the Broadway revival of Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Harvey, in the role of ‘Elwood Dowd’, the genial eccentric who claims to see a six-foot-tall white rabbit ‘Harvey.’ The production ran with limited engagement at the famous Studio 54 in New York City. Parsons received a Theatre World Award for his debut Broadway performance as ‘Tommy Boatwright’ in The Normal Heart, starring opposite Ellen Barkin, John Benjamin Hickey, and Joe Mantello. The Normal Heart won a Tony Award for “Best Revival of a Play” and was presented with the Drama Desk Award for “Outstanding Revival of a Play” and “Outstanding Ensemble Performance.” The Normal Heart also received nominations from The Outer Critics Circle for “Outstanding Revival of a Play,” as well as five Tony Award nominations. Parsons’ other stage performances include, The Castle for the Manhattan Ensemble Theater, The Countess for the Globe Theater as well as The Tempest and As You Like It for the Houston Shakespeare Festival.

In January 2017, Parsons began hosting the SIRIUS XM Radio talk show, Jim Parsons Is Too Stupid for Politics, on Andy Cohen’s channel. The radio show features experts on politics and international affairs and gives listeners the opportunity to call in to get a better idea of what goes on in Washington, D.C. Guests have included Sen. John McCain, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, Robert S. Ford (former U.S. Ambassador to Syria), Mike McCurry (Former White House Press Secretary), Alexander Vershbow (former U.S. Ambassador to Russia), William Ruckelshaus (First head of the EPA), Dan Crippen (former Director of the Congressional Budget Office), Ret. LTG Daniel Bolger, Gerald Kominski (UCLA Center For Health Policy) and Kristen Silverberg (former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union).

Other film credits include voicing the lead role in the box office hit Home, costarring singer/actress Rihanna. The film grossed just shy of $400 million worldwide; the Blumhouse Production thriller Visions opposite Isla Fisher, Gillian Jacobs and Anson Mount; Todd Phillips’ School for Scoundrels, opposite Billy Bob Thorton and Jon Heder; Chris Terrio’s Heights opposite Glenn Close and James Marsden; scene-stealing roles in several independent films such as Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here and Garden State, Kevin Connolly’s Gardener of Eden and Danny Leiner’s The Great New Wonderful.

Other television credits include starring opposite Taylor Kitsch, Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer in The Normal Heart, HBO’s original movie adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Larry Kramer play, which was written by Kramer and directed by Ryan Murphy. Parsons portrayed the role of gay activist Tommy Boatwright, reprising his role from the 2011 Broadway revival. Parsons received an Emmy nomination for his role, and the film won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Television Movie’. He produced and lent his voice as narrator to the 3-part docuseries First In Human, which aired on the Discovery Channel in 2017. The series explores the lives of the doctors, researchers, and patients who together make progress possible in the cutting-edge testing ground that is Building 10 of the National Institutes of Health: the largest hospital in the world devoted solely to research.

Parsons earned a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Old Globe Theater/University of San Diego and a BA from the University of Houston. He currently resides in New York.

Zachary Quinto can most recently be seen starring as Charlie Manx in the AMC series, NOS4A2. Directed by Kari Skogland and written by Jami O’Brien (based on the novel by the same name by Joe Hill), NOS4A2 follows Manx (an immortal who stays that way by feeding off the souls of children) and Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) who encounters Manx and makes an enemy of him.

Quinto was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he began performing as a teenager. He attended Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama and received a BFA in Acting. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and began to build a career in television with guest starring roles on numerous series, including CSI and Six Feet Under. He appeared as Adam Kaufman on the third season of 24, and in the only season of the critically acclaimed series So NoTORIous.

In 2007 he was cast as the psychopathic super-powered serial killer Sylar on the hit NBC series Heroes; and in the same year was cast as Spock in the JJ Abrams directed reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Subsequently he has reprised his role of Spock in both sequels to that film: 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness and 2016’s Star Trek Beyond. He played Chad Warwick on the first season of American Horror Story and received a Critic’s Choice Award and Emmy Award nomination for his portrayal of Dr. Oliver Thredson on American Horror Story: Asylum.

In 2008, Quinto began his production company Before the Door Pictures and produced and starred in Margin Call alongside Stanley Tucci and Jeremy Irons. His company has gone on to produce such films as All Is Lost, Banshee Chapter, Breakup At a Wedding, A Most Violent Year, and Aardvark. Last year, Quinto hosted and executive produced In Search Of, which aired on HISTORY. The show, inspired by the iconic 1970s series of the same name, examined unexplained phenomena from all over the world. Season two is currently in production and will air later this year.

In theater, Quinto appeared as Louis Ironson in the 2010 Signature revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels In America, for which he won a Theater World Award and a Drama Desk Award nomination. He made his Broadway debut to universal praise in the 2013 Tony Award winning production of the Glass Menagerie; and appeared in the 2017 MCC production of Noah Haidle's Smokefall. Last year, he starred in the Joe Mantello directed, Tony winning revival of The Boys in the Band, alongside Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer and Andrew Rannells at The Booth Theater.

On screen, Quinto appeared this year in Steven Soderbergh’s Netflix film, High Flying Bird and in two episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Over the last few years, he starred opposite James Franco in I Am Michael in 2015, and as journalist Glenn Greenwald in Oliver Stone’s film Snowden in 2016. The following year, he starred opposite Julianne Nicholson and Emma Roberts in Who We Are Now, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2018, he appeared in Drew Pearce’s Hotel Artemis opposite Jodie Foster, Jenny Slate and Jeff Goldblum. Quinto currently resides in New York.
