Philosopher and theologian Mordecai Kaplan speaks about the differences between “traditional authoritative religion” and contemporary interpretative religion. This lecture is part of a series exploring the relationship between religion and psychology. Kaplan references Freud and Marx and outlines what he considers to be the significant traits of “mature” and “immature” religions. The lecture is followed with questions from the audience.
